The resourcefulness of Marco Barbero always pushed him to create new recipes. He found the magic formula once he took a few simple ingredients of his land such as the Langhe hazelnuts – which are toasted in a wood-fired brick oven – and dark chocolate: he invented the irregular-shape chocolates that would become famous as the “Baci di Cherasco®”, compelling universal admiration. Despite imitations, those of the Barbero confectionery have kept their originality through the years.
